Man charged in electrician’s death in Texas

A man has been charged with killing an electrician after he allegedly choked him with a baseball bat during an argument, authorities said.

The victim, who was an electricians union official, was working at a house on the 700 block of South Washington Street on Tuesday when he was allegedly choked by Daniel Brown, 26, police said.

Brown allegedly told the victim to “get out of here,” then proceeded to choke him with the bat, according to a charging document obtained by Fox News.

The incident took place in the home’s kitchen area, which is normally open to the public.

The homeowner’s daughter called police after seeing the suspect in the hallway.

They then called a supervisor and obtained video surveillance of the alleged assault.

A witness also said Brown punched him in the face.

The suspect was arrested and booked into the McLennan County jail, where he is being held on $2 million bond, authorities told the Houston Chronicle.
