When you work at a union, you’re not just a worker – you’re a part of an organisation

When you’re employed as an electrician, you are part of a national union, the Electricians’ Union of Australia (EUA).

You are paid a salary and are entitled to benefits, including sick leave, maternity leave, paternity leave, parental leave and holiday pay.

This union represents more than 2,000 electricians across the country.

You can also vote for your union in a by-election, which is held each year.

You may also be eligible to participate in the annual Queensland Powerball jackpot, which offers winners up to $250,000 each year to union members.

The Queensland Powerplay jackpot is one of the largest in the world and the prize is up to a maximum of $10,000 per player.

The jackpot can be won in two ways: a) by the winner of the Powerball, b) by a company with a current shareholding of less than 5 per cent in the company or c) by individuals or corporations who own less than 10 per cent of the company.

The prize is only awarded to winners who are eligible for the Powerplay.
